Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavior Therapy focuses on what we spend our time thinking about.  This approach seeks to discover what mentally provokes a person to view situations as they see them.  The clinician works with the client to highlight their deeply held values and beliefs that usually determine our thoughts.

Sometimes as human beings we often feel stuck.  This may stem from having core beliefs that may be inaccurate (for example “I am no good”) due to past experiences.  As counselors we work with you to increase your ability to see another perspective surrounding a particular situation.  The clarity of looking through a new lens often brings truth to the surface and freedom for the client.
