Dana L. Kasper, MA, LPC/CR is founder of the Child and Family Counseling Center of Columbus, dedicated to helping children, teens and their caregivers. Mrs. Kasper completed her Masters degree in Clinical Counseling at Ashland Seminary in Ashland, Ohio.  Mrs. Kasper specializes in the assessment and treatment of childhood sexual abuse and childhood behavioral problems.  She is an advocate for victims of abuse and a speaker to survivors and their parents. Her message is one of encouragement to continue the fight against shame and distrust, which often accompany victims of abuse.

Having received her training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital she specializes in:

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) –

This technique is for child victims who have experienced trauma, specifically sexual abuse.

  • Equine Assisted Psychotherapy –

Providing mental health treatment using a team of three including a licensed mental health professional, an equine specialist, and horses.

  • Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) –

This is a treatment approach for children with behavior problems. PCIT is an evidenced based play therapy technique for children and their caregivers.

  • Play Therapy –

Provide children and youth with creative options to express, identify and work through their personal difficulties.

  • Speaker (for Child Advocacy) –

Specializing in educating mental health providers on the traumagenic dynamics of childhood sexual abuse.
